About
Built from the inside out.

Nafizah Abney is the founder and principal consultant of Cevela. She is an organizational architect with a career built inside the institutions most consulting firms only advise from the outside. She has led within higher education, government-adjacent environments, and private sector organizations, which means she understands how decisions actually get made in complex institutions, where power formally and informally lives, and what it takes for change to stick in environments where resistance is structural rather than personal.

Cevela was originally established in 2010 and is now being intentionally founded for the first time as a strategic enterprise with a defined service model, a clear market position, and a philosophy built around one belief: humans are the system. Every structure we design and every framework we build exists to serve the human beings at the center of it.
